About the author

Bobby Gwynn is the third generation of his family to build for a living. He founded Artistic Construction in Woodstock, Georgia in 2003 and has led it ever since.

He holds a B.A. in Accounting from Flagler College and a Georgia real-estate license, so he reads a remodel as a set of numbers before he reads it as a set of finishes. Budgets are clear on day one, with no surprise costs later.

Over two decades he has guided the company through more than 5,000 residential remodels across North Atlanta, including hundreds of finished basements. His view is that a contractor should take worry off a homeowner's plate rather than add to it: daily updates, itemized quotes, and schedules that hold.

When he is not on a job site, he uses his real-estate background to help homeowners understand which renovations actually hold their value.

People worry about hidden costs and missed deadlines. We eliminate that stress with transparent quotes and daily updates.

Reading is great. A clear, itemized estimate is better. Tell us what you have in mind.
